Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take for an Advocate to negotiate my bills?

Typically the process takes less than 60 days. Your advocate will work tirelessly to uncover all the options available to reduce the out-of-pocket expenses on your medical bills.

How will I know where I am in the process once it starts?

You can expect a call from your Advocate with updates at least every 10 days. However, you will be provided with direct a phone number, e-mail address and fax number to your personal Advocate so you can reach them at any time.

Is this the same thing as medical bill auditing?

No, our focus is on you, the patient, and your out-of pocket balances, not line item charges on your bill(s) or your insurance. Your Advocate works on your behalf with healthcare providers, taking all the necessary steps to reach an outcome that is acceptable to both parties.

What type of results can I expect?

Each result depends on your personal financial situation. Over the past 15 years our advocates have averaged just over 50% savings and are successful in negotiating three out of four bills we handle.

What happens if my advocate is unable to help?

It is rare, but occasionally our advocates are unable to obtain program qualification, arrange a discounted settlement or work out a payment plan. If this occurs, there is no additional fee for our services past your original charge.

What is the difference between you and other bill negotiators out there?

First and foremost are the results we are able to obtain. No one in the industry is better at what we have perfected since our founding in 1996. We also have a fair pricing model. Most companies will charge you a percentage of savings of 25% or even 30%. This can be very costly.

I like my doctor. Am I going to offend him or her by obtaining your services?

We work to provide a resolution that is acceptable to both you and your provider. Our team is never confrontational. We send surveys to each of the health care providers we work with and our results from these are nothing short of stellar.
